One of the public health organization’s problems is burnout among public health workers. It has been shown that one out of 2 doctors and one out of three nurses admit to suffering from fatigue due to lack of resources, risen patient acuity, time pressure, and increased workload. Progressed burnout values have been shown to lead to increased absenteeism and health worker staff difficulties. Burnout among healthcare providers can pose a risk to the maintenance and safety of the care they provide for their patients.

Survey
An examination should be made that could help in analyzing the impact and burnout among the public health workers on patient satisfaction through a survey. Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) examination was made to obtain information about patient satisfaction. A study about the nurses and doctors about the working conditions and working environment was also made to determine the most causes of burnout. This information also allowed us to assess whether these results were affected by the hospital’s work environment and determine if individual satisfaction is higher in hospitals with lower levels of health worker burnout.
The Results
They have found that half of the health workers who participated in the survey suffer from high levels of burnout. In all of these hospitals, they were much more likely to receive low levels of satisfaction and poor working conditions for nurses. They have discovered that nurses and doctors who have lower levels of burnout are most likely to offer a better patient satisfaction rate. Also, hospitals that provide their health workers better working conditions and the working environment has lower levels of burnout.
Lesson
Their findings suggest that hospitals can take further steps to decrease the level of burnout and reduce lower ratings of patient satisfaction. These measures would focus on improving the well-being and comfort of the health workers, resulting in better care for their patients. A working environment where nurses and doctors are known for their professional competence is supported by management, who has better human resources and are able to communicate. The evolution of working environments requires an investment in workforce and culture. The results of these investments can benefit nurses, doctors, and patients.
